Most Expensive Xbox 360 Ever $1 million

Jesse Maiman, a 21-year-old film studies major at Yale University, is suing US Airways for $1 million in compensation for his lost Xbox 360.

Maiman took a flight from New Haven, Conn., to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on December 17, 2008. When he picked up his luggage, he noticed the bag was lighter and found out his Xbox 360 was missing. In his suit, Maiman says he immediately talked to a US Airways representative at the airport to report the missing Xbox 360. What followed, according to Maiman, was weeks of "an unconscionable 'run-around' " that saw him write or speak to five US Airways employees who gave him "non-responsive answers."

Maiman alleges that his Xbox 360 had a specialized hard drive and components that cost more than $1,000.

He's now asking $1,700 for the loss of the gaming system and for "non-economic distress" of at least $25,000, but "in the maximum amount allowable by law or, in the alternative, in the sum of $1,000,000."
