Microsoft's Block Party promotion is finishing up tomorrow with the launch of its virtual retro arcade, Game Room. This will allow your avatar to "relive the glory days of the classic arcade" with arcade and console classics from Activision, Atari, Intellivision, Konami, Taito, and others. Even the pricing is retro, except that you need to plunk down two virtual quarters instead of one at 40 Microsoft points per gameplay. If you think you'll be playing say, Centipede forever, you can also buy it for 240 points. Now, if you're really hardcore and want to play it on Games for Windows (PC) as well, they will sell it to you for 400 points for both platforms.
At launch, they will reportedly have 30 games available but beyond Centipede, Asteroids Deluxe and Super Cobra, we don't know what the other 27 games are. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
