Martin Robinson, IGN UK, caught up with the SNK Playmore team and scored a quick interview. This time theu are covering topics such as the latest installment in the Samurai Shodown series, the genre itself, and of course.. the competition. Pop on over and check out the whole ,SNK Shodown: Samurai Shodown Sen Q & A, below is a quick teaser to wet your appetite:IGN: Despite the brief shot in the arm provided by Street Fighter IV, fighting games have yet to regain the popularity they enjoyed through the nineties. Why do you think this is?

SNK: First and foremost, due to transitions in gamers' tastes over the years and an ever changing market, it's quite difficult to compare the current state of the genre to that of the nineties. However, one possible factor could be the evolution of hardware, development technology, etc. leading to diversification in gameplay, and in turn gamers looking towards new game genres that appeal to them. However, with that in mind, we will continue our challenge within the genre, and do our best in living up to SNK's brand name and rich history of versus fighting games.
