Rumor Gearbox Software Finishing Duke Nukem Forever

The game that never dies is making headlines over a year after 3D realms closure in May 2009. According to Kotaku.com development of the long awaited title has been moved to Gearbox Software – the developers of Borderlands. Gearbox also handled the port of Halo: CE to Windows PC in 2003. They are no strangers to the First Person Shooter Genre.

Take Two Interactive confirmed that they still hold the publishing rights to Duke Nukem Forever after the settlement of their lawsuit with 3D Realms earlier this year. Both the presidents of Gearbox Software and 3D realms declined to comment to various media outlets.

Anonymous sources have stated that we will learn the fate of DNF at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo. They’ve even hinted that a playable demo may be released. If any DNF news is released at the convention will bring it to you here on TeamXbox.com!

Always Bet On Duke!
