Blizzard Looking To Bring Diablo Experience To Consoles

Blizzard Entertainment is known for crafting some of the most diverse and well thought-out worlds in the gaming community. According to a recent job posting available on their website, Blizzard could be bringing their upcoming point and click dungeon crawler Diablo III to consoles. The last entry in the series – Diablo II, released in 2000, sold over 4 million units.

This would not be Blizzard’s first entry to console gaming. In 2002 they announced an expansion to the Starcraft Universe for all current gen consoles. Starcraft Ghost went through several delays and was eventually put on ‘indefinite hold’.

Earlier this afternoon Blizzard did reveal that they are looking to bring a ‘diablo like experience’ to console gamers and that this effort will not delay the current progress on Diablo III for the PC and Mac. Diablo III is expected to ship for those two platforms sometime in 2011.

Below you can read the full job description as it appeared on Blizzard’s community website.

"Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and experienced designer for the Diablo team.
