Over the weekend a technical specifications sheet available at Play.com had the internet speculating about the number of simultaneous players that the Kinect supports. According to the page the Kinect supports up to 8 players but only 2 active players. According to the information page the Kinect can detect 20 joints on up to 2 players simultaneously. This implies that games that use up to 8 players will only use partial movements and not the full body.
Videos showcased at the E3 expo showed more than two players using Kinect with such full body motions as jumping and hand movements. Microsoft had no statement regarding these speculations. As more information becomes available we will have it here at Teamxbox.com
