Microsoft today confirmed that there will be no season 3 of 1 Vs 100 for Xbox Live Primetime. The game debuted last November after its announcement at E3 2008. The game pitted a crowd of 99 players against the one. They competed for points such as Microsoft Points and downloadable games. During the games two seasons the client was downloaded over 2.5 million times and the game set a Guinness World Record for the most players in an online gameshow.
The development team behind 1 Vs 100 has been reassigned to a new unannounced project by Microsoft according to statements made today. It is unknown whether or not this project is related in any way to Xbox Live Primetime or if it will be something completely original.
Microsofts official statement regarding the closure of 1 Vs 100 is below
