Gearbox Announces Borderlands Game of the Year Edition

Gearbox Software announced today that they will be releasing a ‘game of the year’ edition of Borderlands to retailers on October 12th. The new edition of the FPS/RPG hybrid will retail for $59.99, the price of the game at launch, and will include the four DLC expansions released thus far.

This is an excellent opportunity for those of you who have not experience the fun of four player Borderlands action. Included on the disc are the first three expansions – The Zombie Island of Dr.Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot and The Secret Armory of General Knox. There will be an in-case voucher for the fourth expansion – Captrap’s New Robot Revolution.

Randy Pitchford, founder of Gearbox Software, has publically stated that company would like to support Borderlands beyond the four announced expansion and that they have the full support of their publisher Take Two.
