Rumor 'I Am Alive' Set For XBLA Release

Could Ubisoft's long in development action title I Am Alive finally see release in 2011? According to French gaming website JeuxVideo the game will take the form of a downloadable title for the Xbox Live Arcade and similar platforms. According to the same video the game could be in the hands of Jade Raymond - producer of Assassins Creed I & II as well as the director of Ubisoft's new Toronto studio.

I Am Alive utilized a modified version of the Unreal 2.0 engine and casts the player as "Adam" - a civilian trying to survive in a post-earthquake ravaged Chicago. In previous builds of the game players were able to play in either a first or third person view. Guiding Adam through the city and performing actions such as interrogating enemies, finding food and other activities needed to survive.

It is unknown whether not these elements still remain intact as development has shifted from the game's original developer DarkWorks to an internal Ubisoft studio. It is possible that we will see more information as GDC and E3 inch closer and closer.
