Trine 2 "Aluring Adventures" Trailer

Atlus released a brand new trailer for the upcoming platformer Trine 2. The trailer shows off the vibrant environments that players will encounter including dimly lit caves, bright lush forest areas and ancient cityscapes.

The game is a physics based platformer where players can switch between three different forms on the fly. These forms include a brave sword wielding knight, a powerful spell casting wizard able to conjure new items to help the player reach their goal and finally a stealthy rogue.

Atlus intends to release Trine 2 this Summer according to their latest press release. The game was originally revealed at E3 2010 with a targeted release date of spring 2011. We’ll have to put up with a little bit of a delay but it is nice to see the game appear on the Xbox Live Arcade. The previous entry in the series was only released on the Playstation Network and on Steam for Windows PC.

Developer Frozenbyte released a statement about the delay when speaking to The Escapist: There's still a lot of work to be done and we don't want people to have false expectations, so we wanted to communicate the new release date now. Everything's going great though, Trine 2 is our smoothest project ever despite this delay."
